About This Project

We created a film titled Hello Sister for Chicago 2016 and its presentation to the International Olympic Committee, as the city bid against Tokyo, Rio de Janeiro and Madrid to bring the 2016 Summer Games to Chicago. The two-minute piece, developed to highlight the city’s diversity, features girls representing the 27 Sister Cities of Chicago and the voice of Oprah Winfrey. Of course, we know the IOC chose The Girl from Ipanema instead. Still, Philip Hersch of the Chicago Tribune cited Hello Sister as his favorite of the more than 20 films presented by the Chicago 2016 organization team to the IOC. Directed by Brett Morgen. Produced by Bonnie van Steen. Edited by Josh Bodnar at Whitehouse Post. Music by Comma. Mix by Particle.
